3 And in the those days Yōannaʸs the immerser is _arriving, proclaiming in the wilderness of_ the _Youdaia 2 saying:
Be _repenting, because/for the kingdom of _the heavens has _neared.
3 For/Because this is the one having _been _spoken through Aʸsaias/(Yəshaˊə^yāh) the prophet saying:
The_voice of_a_shouting one in the wilderness prepare the way of_the_master, be _making the paths of _him straight.
4 And the Yōannaʸs himself was _having the clothing of _him from hairs of_a_camel and a_ leather _belt around the waist of _him, and the food of _him was locusts and wild honey.
5 Then Hierousalaʸm/(Yərūshālayim), and all the Youdaia, and all the surrounding _region of _the Yordanaʸs/(Yarəddēn) was _going _out to him, 6 and they _were _being _immersed by him in the Yordanaʸs River, confessing the sins of _them.
7 But having _seen many of _the Farisaios_party and Saddoukaios_sect coming to the immersion of _him, he _said to _them:
Brood of _vipers, who warned to _you _all to _flee from the coming severe _anger?
8 Therefore produce fruit worthy of_ the _repentance.
9 And you _all _may_ not _suppose to _be _saying among yourselves, we _are _having the Abraʼam/(ʼAvərāhām) father, because/for I _am _saying to _you _all that the god is _able to _raise children to_ the _Abraʼam out _of the these stones.
10 And already the axe is _lying to the root of _the trees, therefore every tree not producing good fruit is _being _cut _off and is _being _thrown into the_fire.
11 I on _one _hand am _immersing you _all in water to repentance, on _the _other _hand the one coming after me is mightier than me, of _whom not I _am worthy to _bear the sandals.
He will _be _immersing you _all in the_ holy _spirit and with _fire.
12 Of _whom the winnowing _fork is in the hand of _him, and he _will _be _clearing _out the threshing _floor of _him, and will _be _gathering _together the wheat of _him into the barn, but the chaff he _will _be _burning _up with_ inextinguishable _fire.
13 Then the Yaʸsous/(Yəhōshūˊa) is _arriving from the Galilaia/(Gālīl) to the Yordanaʸs/(Yarəddēn) to the Yōannaʸs, which to _be _immersed by him.
14 But the was _forbidding him saying:
I am _having need to _be _immersed by you, and you are _coming to me?
15 But the Yaʸsous answering said to him:
Allow it now, because/for thus it _is befitting to _us to _fulfill all righteousness.
Then he _is _allowing him.
16 And having _been _immersed, the Yaʸsous immediately went _up from the water, and see, the heavens were _opened _up, and he _saw the spirit of_ the _god coming _down as _if a_dove and coming on him.
17 And see, a_voice out _of of _the heavens saying:
This is the son of _me, the beloved in whom I _took _pleasure.
