13:1 The spirit chooses Barnabas and Saul

13In the assembly at Antioch there were some prophets and teachers: Barnabas, Simeon (called Niger), Lucius from Cyrene, Manaen (who grew up with Herod the tetrarch), and Saul. 2One day when they were ministering to the master and fasting, the holy spirit said, Appoint Barnabas and Saul to serve me and do the work that I have called them to.” 3So they fasted and prayed and placed their hands on the two, and then sent them off.

13And there_were prophets and teachers in Antioⱪeia, in the assembly being:
the both Barnabas, and Sumeōn/(Shiməˊōn) who being_called Niger, and Loukios the from_Kuraʸnaʸ, And Manaaʸn raised_with of_Haʸrōdaʸs of_the quarter_ruler, and Saulos.
2And of_them ministering to_the master and fasting, the the holy spirit said:
Indeed set_apart to_me the Barnabas and Saulos, because/for the work which I_have_called_ them _to.
3Then having_fasted, and having_prayed, and having_laid_on their hands on_them, they_sent_away them.
