Literal Version

3:1 A lame man starts bouncing around

3One afternoon around 3pm, Peter and Yohan were going to the prayer meeting in the temple. 2Now there was a man who had been lame from birth, and every day he was placed beside a door into the temple—an entry named ‘Beautiful Door’. From there he could beg from the people entering the temple. 3He saw Peter and Yohan about to enter into the temple, so he asked them for a donation, 4but Peter and Yohan, looking closely at him said, “Look at us!” 5So the man grabbed onto them, expecting to get given something by them. 6But Peter said, “I don’t have any silver or gold, but I’ll give you what I do have. With the authority of Yeshua the messiah from Nazareth, I command you to walk.” 7Then Peter grabbed the man by the right hand and pulled him upwards. Immediately the man’s feet and ankles were strengthened 8and he jumped up and stood and started walking and went into the temple with them, walking and skipping and praising God. 9All the people there saw him walking and praising God, 10and recognising that he was the man who usually sat outside begging at the ‘Beautiful Door’ of the temple, they were astonished and astounded at what had happened to him.

3And Petros also Yōannaʸs were_going_up into the temple at the hour the of_prayer the ninth hour.
2And a_certain man, being lame from the_womb of_the_mother of_him, was_being_borne, whom they_were_putting in_every day at the door of_the temple, which being_called Beautiful, which to_be_requesting alms from the ones entering_in into the temple.
3Who having_seen Petros and Yōannaʸs going to_be_entering into the temple, was_asking to_receive alms.
4But Petros having_looked_intently at him with the Yōannaʸs said:
Look to us.
5And he was_holding_on to_them, expecting to_receive something from them.
6But Petros said:
Silver and gold is_ not _being to_me, but this what I_am_having, I_am_giving to_you, in the name of_Yaʸsous/(Yəhōshūˊa) chosen_one/messiah of_the from_Nazaret, be_walking.
7And having_grabbed him by_the right hand, he_raised him, and immediately the feet of_him and the ankles were_strengthened.
8And leaping_up, he_stood and was_walking, and came_in with them into the temple, walking, and springing_up, and praising the god.
9And all the people saw him walking and praising the god.
10And they_were_recognizing him that he was the one sitting at the Beautiful gate of_the temple for the alms, and they_were_filled with_amazement and amazement at the thing having_been_happened to_him.

3:11 Peter’s sermon in the temple

11As the man clung onto Peter and Yohan, all the people ran to see them in Solomon’s Porch and they were really astounded. 12But when Peter saw the crowd, he answered their thoughts, “Fellow Israelis, why are you all puzzled about this, and why are you staring at us as if this man is walking because of our power or closeness to God.” 13[ref]The god of Abraham, Isaac, and Yacob—the god of our fathers—gave honour to his servant, Yeshua, who you handed over to be killed and then you rejected him when Pilate had judged him and wanted to release him. 14[ref]You disowned this man who was innocent and sinless, and instead you requested that a murderer be released to you. 15However in doing so, you killed the creator of life, who God then raised from the dead as we can attest. 16Now it’s our faith in the authority of Yeshua that has strengthened the legs of this man that you have seen and that you already knew—this authority and faith that comes from Yeshua completely healed this man right in front of you all.

17So now, friends, I know that you did all that in ignorance, just like your leaders, 18but actually God was fulfilling what he had had written by the prophets, that the messiah should suffer. 19Because of that, you all need to repent and turn back to God so that your sins can be erased, 20and then times of refreshing will come from the presence of the master, and so that he may send Yeshua the messiah who has been appointed, back to save you. 21For now it is appropriate for heaven to receive him, until the times of restoration of everything, which again God has had written by the faithful prophets. 22[ref]Indeed Moses said, ‘The master, our God will raise up a prophet for you that’s like one of your own brothers. You must listen to everything he says—whatever he tells you. 23[ref]Everyone who doesn’t listen to that prophet will end up totally destroyed and not part of God’s people.’ 24Similarly, the prophets from Samuel onwards spoke in turn, and when they spoke they foretold these current days. 25[ref]And you are the descendants of those prophets, and part of the agreement between God and your ancestors, when he told Abraham, ‘All the families in the world will be blessed by one of your descendants.’ 26God had raised up his servant and sent him to you Jews first, to bless you by turning each of you away from your own wicked behaviour.”

11And of_him taking_hold_of the Petros and the Yōannaʸs, all the people ran_together to them in the portico which being_called of_Solomōn/(Shəlmoh), greatly_amazed.
12But the Petros having_seen it, answered to the people:
Men, ones_from_Israaʸl/(Yisəʼēl), why you_all_are_wondering at this, or why you_all_are_looking_intently at_us, as_though by_^our_own power or devoutness having_made him which to_be_walking?
13The god of_Abraʼam/(ʼAvərāhām), and the the_god of_Isaʼak/(Yiʦəḩāq), and the the_god of_Yakōb/(Yaˊaqov), the god of_the fathers of_us, glorified the servant of_him, Yaʸsous/(Yəhōshūˊa), whom you_all indeed gave_over, and disowned in the_presence of_Pilatos, that one having_judged to_be_sending_away  him.
14But you_all disowned the holy one and righteous one, and you_all_requested a_man a_murderer to_be_granted to_you_all, 15but you_all_killed_off the originator of_ the _life, whom the god raised from the_dead, of_which we are witnesses.
16And the faith in_the name of_him, this man whom you_all_are_observing and you_all_have_known, strengthened the name of_him, and the faith which is by him, gave the complete_healing to_him this in_front_of all of_you.
17And now, brothers, I_have_known that you_all_did in ignorance, as also the rulers of_you_all.
18But what things the god foretold by the_mouth of_all the prophets, the chosen_one/messiah of_him to_suffer, he_fulfilled thus.
19Therefore repent and turn_back, because/for the time of_you_all the sins to_be_wiped_out, 20so_that wishfully times of_refreshment may_come from the_presence of_the master, and he_may_send_out the one having_been_appointed to_you_all the_chosen_one/messiah Yaʸsous/(Yəhōshūˊa), 21whom indeed it_is_fitting heaven to_receive, until the_times of_restoration of_all things, which the god spoke from the_age by the_mouth of_the holy prophets of_him.
22Indeed Mōsaʸs/(Mosheh) said, that the_master, the god of_us will_be_raising_up A_prophet to_you_all like of_you_all me from the brothers, you_all_will_be_hearing from_him in all things, as_many_as wishfully he_may_speak to you_all.
23And it_will_be that every soul, whoever if may_ not _hear the from_ that _prophet, will_be_being_wholly_destroyed from the people.
24And also all the prophets from Samouaʸl/(Shəʼēl) and the ones consecutively, as_many_as spoke, also proclaimed the these days.
25You_all are the sons of_the prophets, and of_the covenant which the god covenanted with the fathers of_you_all, saying to Abraʼam/(ʼAvərāhām):
And in the seed of_you all the families of_the earth will_be_being_blessed.
26the god having_raised_up the servant of_him, sent_ him _out To_you_all first, blessing you_all in that to_be_turning_away each from the wickedness of_you_all.
