26:5 Reuven’s descendants

5 Reuven was Yisrael’s eldest son, and his descendants came via his sons Hanok, Pallu, 6 Hetsron, and Karmi. 7 Those clans added up to 43,730 men. 8 Pallu’s son was Eliav, 9 and Eliav’s son were Nemuel, Datan, and Aviram. (That was the Datan and Aviram who were the leaders that rebelled[ref] against Mosheh and Aharon when they joined Korah’s rebellion against Yahweh. 10 Then the earth split open and swallowed them and Korah.
