48:30 The city gateways
30 These will be the exits from the city: On the northern side (which will be just over two kilometres long),[ref] 31 there’ll be three gates named after the tribes of Reuven, Yehudah, and Levi. 32 On the eastern side (the same length) there’ll be three gates named after the tribes of Yosef, Benyamin, and Dan. 33 On the southern side (the same length) there’ll be three gates named after the tribes of Shimeon, Yissaskar, and Zevulun. 34 On the western side (the same length) there’ll be three gates named after the tribes of Gad, Asher, and Naftali. 35 The distance around the city will be nine kilometres.
From that time onwards, the city’s name will be ‘Yahweh is there’ (Yahweh-Shammah).
Rev 21:12-13:
12 The city had wall that was both wide and high, with twelve gates and twelve messengers at the gates. The gates had the names of the twelve tribes (from Yisrael’s twelve sons) written on them.[ref] 13 There were three gates on the east, three on the north, three on the south, and three on the west.
