22 And he showed me a [[pure]][fn] river of the water of life, clear as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb. 2 In the middle of its street and on either side of the river [was the tree of life],[fn] producing twelve kinds of fruit, yielding its fruit every month; and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.
3 There will be no more curse; and the throne of God and of the Lamb will be in it, and his servants will serve him. 4 They will see his face, and his name will be on their foreheads.
5 And there will be no night, and they will have no need of [the light of][fn] a lamp or sunlight, because the Lord God will illumine them; and they will reign forever and ever.
6 And {he said}[fn] to me, “These words are faithful and true; and the Lord, the God of {the spirits of},[fn] the prophets sent his angel to show his servants what must soon take place.”
7 “[And][fn] Behold, I am coming quickly. Blessed is the one who keeps the words of the prophecy of this book.”
8 And I, John, am the one seeing [and hearing][fn] these things. And when I heard and saw, {I fell down}[fn] to worship at the feet of the angel who showed me these things. 9 But he said to me, “See do not; [[for]][fn] I am a fellow servant of yours and of your brothers the prophets and of those who keep the words of this book. Worship God.”
10 And he said to me, “Do not seal up the words of {the}[fn] prophecy of this book, {for}[fn] the time is near. 11 Let the one who does wrong continue to do wrong; [and let the filthy still be filthy;][fn] and let the one who is righteous continue to live righteously; and let the one who is holy continue to be holy.”
12 [[And]][fn] Behold, I am coming quickly, and my reward is with me, to give to each one as his {work is}.[fn]
13 “I {am}[fn] the Alpha and the Omega, {the first and the last, the beginning and the end.}”[fn]
14 Blessed are those who {wash their robes},[fn] so that they may have the {right to}[fn] the tree of life, and may enter by the gates into the city.
15 [[But]][fn] Outside are the dogs and the sorcerers and the sexually immoral and the murderers and the idolaters, and everyone who loves and practices falsehood.
16 “I, Jesus, have sent my angel to testify to you these things for the churches. I am the root[fn] and the descendant of David, the bright morning star.”
17 And the Spirit and the bride say, “Come.” And let the one who hears say, “Come.” And let the one who is thirsty come; And let the one who wishes take the water of life freely.
18 [[For]][fn] {I testify}[fn] to everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: if anyone {imposes upon them},[fn] God will bring [upon him][fn] the plagues which are written in this book; 19 and if anyone takes away from the words of {the book of this prophecy},[fn] God {would remove}[fn] his part from the {tree}[fn] of life and [from][fn] the holy city, [[and]][fn] which are written in this book.
20 The one who testifies to these things says, “Yes, I am coming quickly.” [Amen.][fn] [[Yes,]][fn] Come, Lord Jesus.
