17 Brothers and sisters, I urge you to beware of those who are always talking about faults and tempting you with things that are against what you’ve been taught. Turn away from them, 18 because such people are serving their own bellies instead of our master Messiah, and they’re deceiving innocent people with their smooth speech and ‘blessings’. 19 I’m excited because the story of your obedience has travelled far, but I want you believers to remain wise about what’s good, and innocent about evil, 20 then the God of peace will quickly crush Satan under your feet.
