The Plot to Kill Jesus

The Plot to Kill Jesus

22 Now the Feast of Unleavened Bread was drawing near, which is called the Passover, 2 and the chief priests and the scribes were looking for a way to get rid of Jesus quietly, for they were afraid of the people.

3 Then Satan entered into Judas, the one called Iscariot, who was numbered among the twelve. 4 He went away and discussed with the chief [fn]priests and officers how he might deliver Jesus up to them. 5 They were glad and agreed to give him money. 6 So he accepted the offer and began looking for an opportunity to deliver Jesus up to them in the absence of a crowd.
