17 and_summoned Shəmū^ʼēl DOM the_people to Yahweh the_Mizpah.
18 And_he/it _said to the _people of _Yisərā^ʼēl/(Israel) thus he _says Yahweh the _god of _Yisərā^ʼēl/(Israel) I I _brought _up DOM Yisərā^ʼēl/(Israel) out _of_Miʦərayim/(Egypt) and_delivered DOM_you _all from_hand of _Miʦərayim and_from_hand of _all the_kingdoms the_oppressing DOM_you _all.
19 And_you _all the_day you _all _have _rejected DOM god_your _all’s who he [is]_a _deliverer to/for_you _all from_all calamities_your _all’s and_distresses_your _all’s and_said to_him/it DOM a _king you _will _appoint over_us and_now present _yourselves to_(the)_face _of/in _front _of/before Yahweh by_tribes_your _all’s and_by_clans_your _all’s.
20 And_brought _near Shəmū^ʼēl DOM all the _tribes of _Yisərā^ʼēl/(Israel) and_taken the _tribe of _Binəyāmīn.
21 And_brought _near DOM the _tribe of _Binəyāmīn by_families_its[fn] and_taken the _clan the_Matrite and_chosen Shāʼūl the _son of _Kish and_sought_him and_not he _was _found.
22 And_inquired again in/on/at/with_LORD come yet here [the]_man and_he/it _said Yahweh here he [is]_hiding _himself into the_vessels.
23 And_ran and_took_him from_there and_stood in _the_middle the_people and_taller from_all the_people from_shoulders_his and_upward.
24 And_he/it _said Shəmū^ʼēl to all the_people see [the _one]_whom he _has _chosen in/on/over_him/it Yahweh DOM there _[is]_not like_him in_all the_people and_shouted all the_people and_they _said may _he _live the_king.
25 and_he/it _spoke Shəmū^ʼēl to the_people DOM the _right[s] the_kingship and_wrote in/on/at/with_scroll and_placed to_(the)_face _of/in _front _of/before Yahweh and_sent _away Shəmū^ʼēl DOM all the_people each _man to_home_his.
26 And_also Shāʼūl he _went to_home_his Gibeah_at and_went with_him/it the_valiant _men which he _had _touched god in/on/at/with_hearts_whose.
27 And_the _sons of _worthlessness they _said what save_us this _one and_despised_him and_not they _brought to_him/it a _gift and_he/it _was as_kept _silent.
