The allocation to Efrayim’s descendants

Jos 16:5–10

5The allotment for Efrayim’s descendants according to their clans was at Atarot-Addar in the east, going as far as Upper Beyt-Horon 6and out to the Mediterranean. From Mikmetat in the north, the border went eastward toward Taanat-Shiloh then further east to Yanoah. 7From Yanoah it went to Atarot and Naarah, reached Yericho then came out at the Yordan. 8The northern border went from Tappuah to the Kanah riverbed and then out to the Mediterranean. That was the inheritance of Efrayim’s descendants according to their clans, 9although some of the cities with their villages for Efrayim’s descendants were actually inside the territory assigned to Manashsheh’s descendants. 10But they didn’t capture the land of the Canaanites who lived in Gezer, so they’ve lived within Efrayim to this day and were forced to serve as labourers.[ref]
