The Song of the 144,000

14 Then I looked, and behold, [fn]the Lamb was standing on Mount Zion, and with him [fn]was a multitude numbering one hundred forty-four thousand, who had [fn]his name and the name of his Father written on their foreheads. 2 And I heard a voice from heaven like the roar of many waters and like the sound of great thunder. [fn]The voice I heard was like the sound of harpists playing their harps. 3 They were [fn]singing a new song before the throne and before the four living creatures and the elders. No one could learn the song except the one hundred forty-four thousand who had been redeemed from the earth. 4 These are the ones who have not defiled themselves with women, for they are virgins. These are the ones who follow the Lamb wherever he goes. They have been redeemed [fn]by Jesus from among men as firstfruits to God and to the Lamb. 5 No [fn]lie was found in their [fn]mouths, for they are [fn]blameless.
