The Messages of the Three Angels
Then I saw [fn]an angel flying directly [fn]overhead, with an eternal gospel to preach to those who [fn]dwell on the earth, to every nation, tribe, tongue, and people. 7 He said with a loud voice, “Fear [fn]the Lord and give him glory, because the hour of his judgment has come. Worship him who made heaven and earth, the sea and the springs of water.”
[fn]A second angel followed, saying, “[fn]Fallen is Babylon the [fn]great! [fn]She has made all the nations drink of the wine of the wrath of [fn]her fornication.”
A third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, “If anyone worships the beast and his image, and receives [fn]a mark on his forehead or his hand, 10 he too will drink of the wine of the wrath of God that has been mixed undiluted in the cup of his anger. He will be tormented with fire and sulfur in the presence of the holy angels and in the presence of the Lamb. 11 And [fn]the smoke of their torment goes up forever and ever. There is no rest day or night for those who worship the beast and his image or for anyone who receives the mark of his name.”
This calls for the endurance of the [fn]saints, those who keep the commandments of God and hold fast to their faith in Jesus.
Then I heard a voice from heaven [fn]saying, “Write: ‘Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on.’ ” “Yes,” says the Spirit, “that they may rest from their labors, [fn]and their works will follow them.”
