ULT ISA Chapter 15

ISA 15 ©

15An oracle for Moab:

So, in a night Ar of Moab

is laid waste, destroyed;

so, in a night Kir of Moab

is laid waste, destroyed.

2They have gone up to the temple,

and Dibon to the heights to weep.

Over Nebo and over Medeba,

Moab laments.

All their heads are bald,

all beards are cut off.

3In their streets they wear sackcloth;

on their housetops

and in the square everyone wails,

coming down in tears.

4And Heshbon and Elealeh cry out;

their voice is heard as far as Jahaz;

So the soldiers of Moab call out;

his spirit trembles in him.

5My heart cries out for Moab;

those who flee to Zoar, the heifer of the third year,

for by the ascent of Luhith

in weeping they go up;

for on the road of Horonaim

they lift up the cry of affliction.

6For the waters of Nimrim are a desolation;

For the grass is dried up;

the vegetation is finished;

the greenery is not.

7Therefore, the abundance they have made and their stores

they carry away over the brook of the poplars.

8For the cry has surrounded

the region of Moab

as far as Eglaim, her wail,

and Beer Elim, her wail.

9For the waters of Dimon are full of blood,

but I shall bring more on Dimon.

For survivors of Moab, a lion,

and for the remnant of the land.
