34 Then Moses went up from the plains of Moab to Mount Nebo, to the top of Pisgah, which is against the face of Jericho. And Yahweh showed him all the land of Gilead as far as Dan, 2 and all Naphtali, and the land of Ephraim and Manasseh, and all the land of Judah, to the western sea, 3 and the Negev, and the plain of the Valley of Jericho, the City of Palms, as far as Zoar. 4 And Yahweh said to him, “This is the land that I swore to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, saying, ‘I will give it to your seed.’ I have showed you, to your eyes, but you will not go over there.” 5 And Moses, the servant of Yahweh, died there in the land of Moab, according to the mouth of Yahweh. 6 And he buried him in the valley, in the land of Moab opposite Beth Peor, but no one knows where his grave is to this day. 7 And Moses was 120 years old when he died; his eye was not dim, nor had his vigor fled. 8 And the sons of Israel mourned Moses in the plains of Moab 30 days, and the days of the tears of mourning for Moses were finished.
9 And Joshua son of Nun was full of the spirit of wisdom, for Moses had laid his hands on him. And the sons of Israel listened to him and did what Yahweh had commanded Moses. 10 And a prophet like Moses has not arisen in Israel since, whom Yahweh knew face to face, 11 for all the signs and wonders that Yahweh sent him to do in the land of Egypt, to Pharaoh, and to all his servants, and to all his land, 12 and for all the mighty hand and for all the fearsome and great things that Moses did before the eyes of all Israel.
