Only use of identical word form ἠλπικότες (V-PEA·NMP) in the Greek originals

The word form ‘ἠλπικότες’ (V-PEA·NMP) is always and only glossed as ‘having hoped’.

The various word forms of the root word (lemma) ‘elpizō’ have 17 different glosses: ‘has hoped’, ‘have hoped’, ‘having hoped’, ‘is hoping’, ‘to_have hoped’, ‘were hoping’, ‘will_be hoping’, ‘I am hoping’, ‘he is hoping’, ‘he was hoping’, ‘of being hoped things’, ‘we are hoping’, ‘we have hoped’, ‘we hoped’, ‘you_all are hoping’, ‘hope’, ‘hoping’.
