Ismail’s descendants

1 Ch 1:28–34

Gen 25:12–16

28Abraham’s sons were Yitshak (Isaac) and Yishmael (Ishmael). 29These were their family lines: The firstborn son of Yishmael (the son of Abraham’s slave wife Hagar) was Nevayot, then his other sons Kedar, Adbeel, Mibsam, 30Mishma, Dumah, Massa, Hadad, Tema, 31Yetur, Nafish, and Kedemah. Those were Yishmael’s twelve sons. 32The sons of Abraham’s slave wife Keturah were Zimran, Jokshan, Medan, Midyan, Yishbak, and Shuah. Yokshan’s sons were Sheva and Dedan. 33Midyan’s sons were Efah, Efer, Hanok, Abida, and Eldaah. All those were Keturah’s descendants.

34Abraham had his son Yitshak by his wife Sarah, and Yitshak’s sons: were Esau and Yakov, whose name God later changed to Yisrael (Israel).

12Now these are the generations of Ishma’el the son of Abraham, whom Hagar the Egyptian, Sarah’s female slave, had given birth to for Abraham. 13These are the names of Ishma’el’s sons, by their names according to their births: Ishma’el’s firstborn was Nevayot, then Kedar, Adbeel, Mibsam, 14Mishma, Dumah, Massa, 15Hadad, Tema, Jetur, Nafish, and Kedermah. 16Those were Ishma’el’s sons, and those are their names by their settlements and by their camps—twelve rulers according to their tribes.
