UST PSA Chapter 142

142 This is a psalm David he was in a cave.

1 Yahweh, I cry out to you;

I plead for you to help me.

2 I am complaining to you about all of my problems;

I am telling you all of my troubles.

3 When I am very discouraged,

you are the one who knows what I must do.

As I go about my activities, it is as though my enemies have hidden traps along my path for me to fall into.

4 If you look to my right you will see

that there is no one who watches over me.

There is nowhere I can go to be safe,

and no one cares what happens to me.

5 So Yahweh, I called out to you to help me;

I said, “You are the one who protects me;

you are all that I need while I am alive.”

6 Please listen to me while I call out to you to help me

because I am very distressed.

Save me from those who are making me suffer,

because they are stronger than I am.

7 Please free me from those who are distressing me

so that I may thank you.

When you do that, the other righteous people will gather with me to praise you together

because you will have fulfilled my request.
