UST PSA Chapter 76

76 This is a note for the worship leader: be accompanied by stringed instruments. wrote psalm.

1 People in Judah know God.

He is famous in Israel.

2 His home is in Jerusalem.

He lives on Mount Zion.

3 There he shattered the flaming arrows.

He destroyed the shields, the swords, and the weapons of war. Selah

4 You are glorious and excellent.

You are more majestic than the mountains where you destroyed your enemies.

5 Enemy soldiers plundered the brave soldiers.

They have fallen into their final sleep.

None of the warriors were able to lift their hands to defend themselves.

6 When you, the God whom Jacob worshiped, shouted at them,

their war horses and their riders fell down dead.

7 You are the one whom everyone must fear.

No one can survive in your presence when you are angry.

8 You gave your decision from heaven.

The whole world was scared and silent.

9 This happened when you stood up to judge, O God,

to rescue all the oppressed people of the world. Selah

10 Even human anger will bring you praise.

You will use the rest of their anger as a weapon.

11 Make promises to Yahweh your God and keep them.

Let everyone around him bring gifts to the Awesome One.

12 He humbles the leaders,

and terrifies all the kings.
