142 A maschil of David, when he was in the cave; a prayer.
142 With my voice I cry out to Yahweh;
with my voice I plead to Yahweh for favor.
2 I pour out my lament before him;
I declare my troubles before him.
3 When my spirit is weak within me,
you yourself know my path.
Along this path I walk
they have hidden a trap for me.
4 I look to my right and see
that there is no one who cares for me.

I said, “You are my refuge,
