UST PSA Chapter 34

34 David wrote this psalm when he pretended be insane front of Abimelech that the king would send him away.

1 I will always thank Yahweh;

I will constantly praise him out loud.

2 I will boast about what Yahweh has done for me.

All of the humble people who hear me will rejoice.

3 Join with me in telling others that Yahweh is great,

and let us together proclaim how glorious he is!

4 I prayed to Yahweh, and he answered me;

he rescued me from everything that I was afraid of.

5 Those who ask him to help them will be joyful;

may Yahweh always provide for them.

6 I was suffering, but I called out to Yahweh, and he heard me.

He saved me from all of the things that were troubling me.

7 An angel representing Yahweh guards people who deeply revere Yahweh,

and the angel rescues them from bad things.

8 Experience for yourselves how good Yahweh is!

Everyone who trusts in Yahweh will be truly happy!

9 All you people who belong to Yahweh, deeply revere him,

because those who deeply revere him will always have everything that they need.

10 Even young lions sometimes go hungry and have nothing to eat,

but people who trust in Yahweh for help will always have the good things that they need.

11 You who are my students, come and listen to me,

and I will teach you how to deeply revere Yahweh.

12 If any of you want to truly live

and to enjoy a good, long life,

13 then be careful to not say things that are harmful,

and to not tell lies.

14 Stop doing what is evil and instead do what is good;

always strive to live peacefully with others.

15 Yahweh pays attention to people who do what is right,

and he listens when they call to him to help them.

16 But Yahweh opposes people who do what is evil.

He does not allow their descendants to remain on the earth.

17 People who do what is right cry out to Yahweh, and he hears them;

he rescues them from all the things that trouble them.

18 Yahweh is always ready to help people who are very sad,

and he saves people who are deeply discouraged.

19 People who do what is right experience many bad things,

but Yahweh rescues them from all of those bad things.

20 Yahweh protects their whole body;

he does not allow their enemies to break even one of their bones.

21 Wicked people will cause themselves to die because of the evil things that they do,

and Yahweh will punish those who hate righteous people.

22 Yahweh saves those who serve him,

and he will forgive all who trust in him.
