2 But you, speak what is fitting for sound teaching.
2 Older men should be temperate, dignified, self-controlled, sound in faith, love, and endurance.
3 Likewise, older women should be reverent in behavior, not slanderers, {not}[fn] enslaved to much wine, teachers of what is good, 4 so that they may encourage the young women to love their husbands, to love their children, 5 to be sensible, pure, workers at home,[fn] kind, being subject to their own husbands, so that the word of God will not be dishonored.
6 Likewise, encourage the younger men to be self-controlled.
7 In everything, present yourself as an example of good works, in teaching demonstrating integrity, dignity, [[incorruptibility]][fn] 8 sound in speech which is beyond reproach, so that the opponent will be put to shame, having nothing bad to say about {us}.[fn]
9 Slaves should be submissive to their own masters in all things, pleasing them, not talking back, 10 not stealing, but showing all good faith, so that they may adorn the teaching of our savior God in all things.
11 {For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation to all men},[fn] 12 instructing us, so that, denying ungodliness and worldly desires, we might live sensibly, righteously, and godly in the present age,
13 Awaiting the blessed hope and appearance of the glory of our great God[fn] and savior, Jesus Christ,[fn] 14 who gave himself for us, to redeem us from all lawlessness and to purify for himself a people for his own possession, zealous for good works.
15 Speak these things, encourage, and rebuke with all authority. Let no one disregard you.
