The Cities of Judah

This is the inheritance of the clans of the tribe vvv of Judah. 21 These were the southernmost cities of the tribe vvv of Judah in the Negev toward the border of Edom:

• Kabzeel, Eder, Jagur, 22 Kinah, Dimonah, Adadah, 23 Kedesh, Hazor, Ithnan, 24 Ziph, Telem, Bealoth, 25 vvv Hazor-hadattah, Kerioth-hezron (that is, Hazor), 26 Amam, Shema, Moladah, 27 vvv Hazar-gaddah, Heshmon, vvv Beth-pelet, 28 vvv Hazar-shual, vvv Beersheba, Biziothiah, 29 Baalah, Iim, Ezem, 30 Eltolad, Chesil, Hormah, 31 Ziklag, Madmannah, Sansannah, 32 Lebaoth, Shilhim, Ain, and Rimmon— twenty-nine cities in all, along with their villages.

• Eshtaol, Zorah, Ashnah, 34 Zanoah, vvv En-gannim, Tappuah, Enam, 35 Jarmuth, Adullam, Socoh, Azekah, 36 Shaaraim, Adithaim, and Gederah (or Gederothaim)— fourteen cities, along with their villages.

• Zenan, Hadashah, vvv Migdal-gad, 38 Dilan, Mizpeh, Joktheel, 39 Lachish, Bozkath, Eglon, 40 Cabbon, Lahmas, Chitlish, 41 Gederoth, vvv Beth-dagon, Naamah, and Makkedah— sixteen cities, along with their villages.

• Libnah, Ether, Ashan, 43 Iphtah, Ashnah, Nezib, 44 Keilah, Achzib, and Mareshah— nine cities, along with their villages.

• Ekron, with its towns and villages; 46 from Ekron to the sea, all the cities near Ashdod, along with their villages; 47 Ashdod, with its towns and villages; Gaza, with its towns and villages, as far as the Brook of Egypt and the coastline of the Great Sea.

• Shamir, Jattir, Socoh, 49 Dannah, vvv Kiriath-sannah (that is, Debir), 50 Anab, Eshtemoh, Anim, 51 Goshen, Holon, and Giloh— eleven cities, along with their villages.

• Arab, Dumah, Eshan, 53 Janim, vvv Beth-tappuah, Aphekah, 54 Humtah, vvv Kiriath-arba (that is, Hebron), and Zior— nine cities, along with their villages.

• Maon, Carmel, Ziph, Juttah, 56 Jezreel, Jokdeam, Zanoah, 57 Kain, Gibeah, and Timnah— ten cities, along with their villages.

• Halhul, vvv Beth-zur, Gedor, 59 Maarath, vvv Beth-anoth, and Eltekon— six cities, along with their villages.

• vvv Kiriath-baal (that is, vvv Kiriath-jearim), and Rabbah— two cities, along with their villages.

• Beth-arabah, Middin, Secacah, 62 Nibshan, vvv the City of Salt, vvv and En-gedi— six cities, along with their villages.

But the descendants of Judah could not drive out the Jebusites living in Jerusalem. So to this day the Jebusites live [there] among the descendants of Judah. 16
