20 This is Yehudah’s (Judah’s) inheritance according to their clans: 21 The cities at the edge of Yehudah’s block toward the border with Edom in Negev were Kavtse’el, Eder, Yagur, 22 Kinah, Dimonah, Ad’adah, 23 Kedesh, Hatsor, Yitnan, 24 Zif, Telem, Be’alot, 25 Hatsor-Hadatah, Keriyot-Hetsron (also called Hatsor), 26 Amam, Shema, Moladah, 27 Hatsar-Gadah, Heshmon, Beyt-Pelet, 28 Hatsar-Shual, Be’er-Sheva (Beersheba), and Bizyoteyah, 29 Ba’alah, Iyim, Etsem, 30 Eltolad, Kesil, Hormah, 31 Tsiklag, Madmanah, Sansanah, 32 Leva’ot, Shilhim, Ayin, and Rimon—a total of twenty-nine cities as well as their villages.

33 Then down in the lowlands were Eshtaol, Tsor’ah, Ashnah, 34 Zanoah, Eyn-Ganim, Tapuah, Eynam, 35 Yarmut, Adulam, Sokoh, Azekah, 36 Sha’arayim, Aditayim, and Gederah (also called Gederotayim)—a total of fourteen cities as well as their surrounding villages.

37 Also Tsenan, Hadashah, Migdal-Gad, 38 Dil’an, Mitspah, Yakete’el, 39 Lakish, Batsekat, Eglon, 40 Kabon, Lahmam, Kitlish, 41 Gederot, Beyt-Dagon, Na’amah, and Makedah—sixteen cities as well as their villages.

42 Also Livnah, Eter, Ashan, 43 Yiftah (Jephthah), Ashnah, Netsiv, 44 Ke’ilah, Akziv, and Mareshah—nine cities as well as their villages.

45 Also Ekron with its towns and villages 46 from Ekron to the Mediterranean—those near Ashdod and their villages.

47 Also Ashdod and its towns and its villages, Azah (Gaza) and its towns and its villages, as far as the riverbed of Mitsrayim (Egypt) and the Mediterranean sea and the border.

48 Also in the hill country: Shamir, Yatir, Sokoh, 49 Danah, Kiryat-Sanah (also called Devir), 50 Anav, Eshtemoa, Anim, 51 Goshen, Holon, and Giloh—eleven cities as well as their villages.

52 Also Aravi, Dumah, Esh’an, 53 Yanum, Beyt-Tapuah, Afekah, 54 Humtah, and Kiryat-Arba (also called Hevron) and Tsi’or—nine cities as well as their villages.

55 Also Maeon, Karmel, Zif, Yutah, 56 Yizre’el (Jezreel), Yakedeam, Zanoah, 57 Kayin (Cain), Giveah, and Timnah—ten cities as well as their villages.

58 Also Halhul, Beyt-Tsur, Gedor, 59 Ma’arat, Beyt-Anot, and Eltekon—six cities as well as their villages.

60 Also Kiryat-Ba’al (also called Kiryat-Yearim) and Rabah—two cities as well as their villages.

61 In the wilderness, Beyt-Ha’aravah, Midin, Sekakah, 62 Nivshan, the Ir-Hamelah, and Eyn-Gedi—six cities as well as their villages.

63 But Yehudah’s (Judah’s) descendants weren’t able to defeat the Yevusim who lived in Yerushalem (Jerusalem), so they have lived among the tribe of Yehudah to this day.[ref]
