32 Listen, a king will reign with fairness,
≈ and officials will rule with justice.
2 Each of them will be like a hiding place from the wind
They’ll be like streams in the desert,
and like the shade from a large rock in an arid land.
3 Then won’t the eyes of those who see, look,
≈ and the ears of those who hear, pay attention?
4 Then the heart of the hasty will understand knowledge,
and the tongue of stutterers will speak fluently and clearly.
5 The fool won’t be called ‘noble’ any more,
and scoundrels will no longer be respected,
6 because the fool speaks foolishness
and his heart plans disobedience for doing ungodly things
and by speaking error about Yahweh.
He keeps those empty who have a hungry appetite,
and he deprives those who are thirsty.
7 As for the scoundrel, evil is his weapon.
He plans to ruin those already suffering with false stories,
and speaks against justice for the needy.
8 In contrast, the honourable person plans to do honourable things,
