12 One day Yeshua (Jesus; Grk. Yesus) climbed a hill to pray, and then he spent the night there praying to God. 13 In the morning, he called together his followers, and chose twelve of them that he then called ‘missionaries’: 14 Shim’on (Simon) (who he also named Kefa (Peter; Grk. Petros)) and his brother Andreas, Ya’akov (James; Grk. Yakobos) and Yohan (John; Grk. Yoannes), Filippos (Philip) and Bar-Talmay (Bartholomew; Grk. Bartholomaios), 15 Matay (Matthew; Grk. Matthaios) and Toma (Thomas), Ya’akov (Halfay’ (Grk. Halfaios) son), Shim’on (the one known as a Zealot), 16 Yehudah (Judas; Grk. Yudas) (son of Ya’akov), and Yehudah Iskariot (who eventually betrayed him).
