Daniel 10

10In the year of three to Cyrus, the king of Persia, a word was revealed to Daniel, whose name was called Belteshazzar. And the word was true, and the war was great. And he understood the word, and understanding was to him about the vision. 2In those days, I, Daniel, was mourning for three weeks of days. 3I ate no bread of delight, and flesh and wine did not come into my mouth, and anointing, I did not anoint myself until the filling of the three weeks of days. 4And on the day of twenty and four to the first month, as I was at the hand of the great river, it is the Tigris, 5then I lifted up my eyes and saw, and behold, a man clothed in linen, and his loins were girded with gold of Uphaz. 6And his body was like beryl, and his face was like the appearance of lightning, and his eyes were like torches of fire, and his arms and his feet were like the eye of polished bronze, and the sound of his words was like the sound of a multitude. 7And I, Daniel, alone saw the appearance, for the men who were with me did not see the appearance. However, a great trembling fell on them, and they fled to hide themselves. 8And I, I was left alone, and I saw this great appearance. And no strength remained in me, and my splendor was turned in me to destruction, and I retained no strength. 9And I heard the sound of his words, and as I heard the sound of his words, then I, I was sleeping deeply upon my face, and my face was to the ground.

10Then behold, a hand touched me, and it made me totter on my knees and the palms of my hands. 11And he said to me, “Daniel, man of delight, understand the words that I will be speaking to you. Stand on your standing, for now I have been sent to you.” And when he had spoken this word to me, I stood up trembling. 12And he said to me, “May you not fear, Daniel, for from the first day that you set your heart to understand and to humble yourself to the face of your God, your words were heard, and I, I have come because of your words. 13But the prince of the kingdom of Persia was standing against me for twenty and one day. And behold, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me, for I, I had been left there beside the kings of Persia. 14And I have come to make you understand what will happen to your people at the end of days. For the vision is yet for days.” 15And while he was speaking with me according to these words, I put my face toward the ground, and I was silent. 16And behold, one according to the likeness of the sons of man touched upon my lips. And I opened my mouth and spoke, and I said to the one standing in front of me: “My lord, because of the appearance, my pains have turned onto me, and I retain no strength. 17And how shall this servant of my lord be able to speak with this my lord? And I, from now no strength stands in me, and breath is not left in me.”

18And the one according to the appearance of a man added and touched me, and he strengthened me. 19And he said, “May you not fear, man of delight. Peace to you. Be strong and be strong.” And while he was speaking with me, I was strengthened, and I said, “May my lord speak, for you have strengthened me.” 20And he said, “Do you know why I have come to you? But now I will return to fight against the prince of Persia. And I am going out, and behold, the prince of Javan will come. 21But I will declare to you the inscribed in the Writing of Truth. And there is not one being strong with me against these except Michael, your prince.”
