1 Our praise is ready for you, God in Tsiyyon (Zion).

We’ve fulfilled our vows.

2 You hear prayers.

≈ Everyone goes to you.

3 Our sinful activities hold us back,

but you forgive our disobedience.

4 Anyone you choose to bring near to you is honoured,

≈ then they can live in your courtyards.

We’ll be satisfied with the goodness of your house—

≈ your holy temple.

5 God of our salvation, answer us

by awesome acts of justice—

yes, you who are hope of all this entire region,

as well as the hope of those who are far across the sea.

6 You created the mountains with your power.

You have plenty of strength.

7 You calm the roaring oceans—

the roaring of their waves

and the turmoil of the nations.

8 Those who live all around the world

are amazed by the evidence of your activities.

You make them happy from the east to the west.

9 You look after the world and water it.

You greatly enrich it.

God’s river is full of water.

You’ve prepared the earth to produce grain.

10 You generously water its ploughed furrows—

your rain flattens down the ridges between them.

You make the soil soft with rain showers

then you bless what grows there.

11 You crown the yearly harvest with your bounty,

and your farm-wagons overflow with plenty.

12 The pastures in the wilderness drip with dew,

and the hills are cloaked with gladness.

13 The pastures are blanketed with sheep and goats.

They shout with gladness and sing.
