23 And the Paulos having _looked _intently at _the council said:
Men, brothers, I in _all conscience have _lived _as _citizen good to_ the _god until this the day.
2 And Ananias the chief _priest commanded to _the ones having _stood _by him, to _be _striking the mouth of _him.
3 Then the Paulos said to him:
- god is _going to _be _striking you, wall having _been _whitewashed.
And are_ you _sitting judging me according _to the law, and you _are_ violating _law _commanding me to _be _being _struck?
4 But the ones having _stood _by said:
Are _you _insulting the chief _priest of_ the _god?
5 And the Paulos was _saying:
I _had_ not _known, brothers, that he _is a_chief _priest, because/for it _has _been _written, that you will_ not _be _speaking wrongly A_ruler of _the people of _you.
6 But the Paulos having _known that the one part is of _Saddoukaios_sect, but the the_other of _Farisaios_party, he _was _crying _out in the council:
Men, brothers, I am a_Farisaios_party _member, the_son of _Farisaios_party, I am _being _judged concerning the_hope and resurrection of_the_dead.
7 And of _him speaking this, a_dissension became between _the Farisaios_party and Saddoukaios_sect, and the multitude was _divided.
8 For/Because indeed the_Saddoukaios_sect are _saying to _be no resurrection, neither an_messenger, nor a_spirit, But the_Farisaios_party are _confessing which both.
9 And a_ great _clamour became, and some of _the scribes of _the side of _the Farisaios_party having _stood _up, they _were _contending saying:
We _are _finding nothing evil in the this man, and what if a_spirit spoke to _him, or an_messenger?
10 And becoming great, dissension, the commander having _been _afraid lest the Paulos may _be _torn _apart by them, commanded the army having _come _down, to _snatch him from midst of _them, and to _be _bringing him into the barracks.
11 But on _the following night, the master having _approached to _him, said:
Be _having _courage, because/for as you _testified the things about me at Hierousalaʸm/(Yərūshālayim), thus it _is _fitting you to _testify also at Ɽōmaʸ.
12 And it _having _become day, the Youdaiōns having _made a_disorderly _gathering, cursed themselves, saying neither to _eat nor to _drink, until of _which they _may _kill _off the Paulos.
13 And were more than forty the ones in _this having _made the conspiracy, 14 who having _approached to _the chief _priests and the elders said:
With_a_curse we _cursed ourselves, to _taste of _nothing until of _which we _may _kill _off the Paulos.
15 Therefore now you _all with the council report to _the commander, so _that he _may _bring_ him _down to you _all, as going to _be _investigating more _exactly the things concerning him, and we are ready to _kill him before the time him to _near, which.
16 But the son of _the sister of _Paulos having _heard, the ambush having _arrived, and having _come _in into the barracks, he _reported it to_ the _Paulos.
17 And the Paulos having _called _to one of _the centurions, he _was _saying, be _bringing _up this the young _man to the commander, because/for he _is _having something to _report to _him.
18 Therefore indeed the one having _taken him, brought him to the commander, and he _is _saying:
The prisoner, Paulos, having _called _to me, asked to _lead this the young _man to you, having something to _tell to _you.
19 And the commander having _taken _hold of _the hand of _him, and having _withdrawn by himself, he _was _inquiring:
What is it that you _are _having to _report to _me?
20 And he _said, that The Youdaiōns decided which to _ask you, so _that tomorrow you _may _bring _down the Paulos into the council, as going to _be _inquiring something more _exactly concerning him.
21 Therefore you may_ not _be _persuaded by _them, because/for forty of them men more are _lying _in _wait him, who cursed themselves neither to _eat nor to _drink, until of _which they _may _kill him, and now they _are ready, waiting _for the promise from you.
22 Therefore indeed the commander sent _away the young _man having _commanded:
To _tell to _no _one that you _reported these things to me.
23 And having _called _to some two of _the centurions, he _said:
Prepare two _hundred soldiers, so _that may _be _gone as _far _as Kaisareia, and seventy horsemen, and two _hundred spearmen for the_third hour of _the night.
24 And mounts to _present, in _order _that having _mounted the Paulos, they _may _bring _safely _through him to Faʸlix the governor, 25 having _written a_letter, having the this pattern:
26 Klaudios Lusias, to _be _greeting to _the most _excellent governor Faʸlix.
27 The this man having _been _captured by the Youdaiōns, and going to _be _being _killed by them, having _approached with their army, I _rescued him having _learned that he _is a_Ɽōmaios.
28 And wishing to _know the charge because _of which they _were _indicting against _him, I _brought _down him to the council of _them.
29 Whom I _found being _indicted concerning questions of _the law of _them, but nothing having indictment worthy of _death or of _bonds.
30 And having _been _divulged to _me of_a_plot going _to _be against the man, I _sent him immediately to you, having_ also _commanded to _the accusers them to _be _speaking before you.
31 Therefore indeed the soldiers according _to the thing having _been _directed to _them, having _taken _up the Paulos, brought him by night to the Antipatris.
32 But on _the day of _next, having _allowed the horsemen to _be _going _away with him, they _returned to the barracks, 33 who having _come _in into the Kaisareia, and having _delivered _up the letter to _the governor, they_ also _presented the Paulos to _him.
34 And having _read it, and having _asked of what province he _is, and having _learned that he _is from Kilikia, 35 he _was _saying I _will _be _thoroughly _hearing from _you:
whenever also the accusers of _you may _arrive, having _commanded for _him to _be _being _guarded in the residence _of _the _governor the of _Haʸrōdaʸs.
