16:1 Paul and Silas also take Timothy with them

16Then Paul went to Derbe and then on to Lystra where a believer named Timothy lived. His mother was a Jewish believer, but his father was Greek. 2The believers in Lystra and Iconium spoke well of Timothy 3and Paul wanted him to accompany them on his trip so he circumcised him in advance because of the Jews in that region—everyone knew that his father was a Greek. 4As they passed through various towns, they explained the decision of the missionaries and elders in Yerushalem about which commands they must adhere to. 5So the assemblies were strengthened in this way and their numbers were increasing each day.

16And he_arrived also to Derbaʸ and to Lustra.
And see, a_ certain _apprentice/follower was there by_the_name Timotheos, the_son of_a_ believing _woman Youdaiōns, but ^his_father was of_a_Hellaʸn,
2who was_being_attested by the brothers in Lustra and Ikonion.
3The Paulos wanted this one to_come_out with him, and having_taken he_circumcised him, because_of the Youdaiōns which being in the those places, because/for all had_known that the father of_him he_was_being a_Hellaʸn.
4And while they_were_passing_through the cities, they_were_giving_over to_them the decrees to_be_keeping which having_been_judged by of_the ambassadors and elders which in Hierousalaʸm/(Yərūshālayim).
5Therefore indeed the assemblies were_being_strengthened in_the faith, and they_were_being_plentiful the in_number in_every day.
