ULT MARK Chapter 16

MARK 16 ©

16And the Sabbath having passed, Mary Magdalene and Mary the mother of James and Salome bought spices so that, having come, they might anoint him. 2And very early on the first of the week, they arrive at the tomb, the sun having come up. 3And they were saying to one another, “Who will roll away the stone for us from the door of the tomb?”

4And having looked up, they see that the stone has been rolled away, for it was extremely large. 5And having entered into the tomb, they saw a young man sitting on the right side, dressed in a white robe, and they were alarmed.

6But he says to them, “Do not be alarmed. You seek Jesus, the Nazarene, the one having been crucified. He was raised up! He is not here. Behold, this is the place where they put him. 7But go, say to his disciples and to Peter, ‘He is going before you to Galilee. There you will see him, just as he said to you.’ ”

8And having gone out, they fled from the tomb, for trembling and amazement was gripping them. And they said nothing to anyone, for they were afraid.

9[fn] [Now having arisen early in the morning on the first of the week, he appeared first to Mary Magdalene, from whom he had cast out seven demons. 10That one, going, reported it to the ones having been with him, mourning and weeping. 11And those ones, having heard that he lives and was seen by her, did not believe.

12Now after these things, he appeared in a different form to two of them walking, going into the country. 13And those ones, having gone away, reported it to the rest, but they did not believe those ones.

14Now later, he appeared to the Eleven, they reclining to eat, and he rebuked their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they did not believe the ones having seen him, having been raised from the dead.

15And he said to them, “Having gone into all the world, preach the gospel to all the creation. 16The one having believed and having been baptized will be saved, but the one not having believed will be condemned. 17Now these signs will accompany the ones having believed: In my name they will cast out demons; they will speak in new tongues; 18[fn] they will pick up snakes, and if they drink anything deadly, it will certainly not hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will get well.”

19After he spoke to them, the Lord Jesus was taken up into heaven and sat down at the right hand of God. 20Now those ones, having gone out, preached everywhere, the Lord working with them and confirming the word through the accompanying signs. Amen.[fn]]
