Isa 62:1–12

62:1 Yerushalem’s coming rescue

62 For the sake of Tsiyon (Zion), I won’t be silent.

≈ and for Yerushalem’s (Jerusalem) sake, I won’t be quiet,

until its righteousness proceeds as brightness

and its salvation like a burning torch.

2 Then the other nations will see your righteousness,

≈ and all kings will see your glory.

and you’ll be called by a new name that Yahweh himself will give.

3 You’ll be a beautiful crown in Yahweh’s hand,

and a royal turban in your god’s palm.

4 They won’t claim any longer that you’ve been abandoned,

≈ and they won’t say again that your land has been deserted,

because you’ll be called ‘the place that Yahweh likes’.

Also, your land will be called ‘married’

because your land will be married to him.

5 Just like a young man marries a young woman,

≈ your sons will marry you,

and as the groom is full of happiness about his bride,

≈ your god will be full of happiness about you.

6 I’ve put watchmen on your walls, Yerushalem (Jerusalem).

They’ll never be silent—night or day.

≈ You all who are reminding Yahweh, don’t ever stop to rest—

7 don’t let him rest until he reestablishes Yerushalem,

≈ and until he makes it something to be praised by the world.

8 Yahweh has using the strength from his power,

≈ and raised his right hand to make a promise:

I’ll won’t give your grain to your enemies again for their food,

≈ and foreigners’ children won’t be drinking the new wine that you worked so hard to make,

9 because those who harvested the grain will eat it,

≈ and those who collected the grapes will drink in my sacred courtyards.

10 Go through, head out the city gates. Clear the way for the people.

≈ Build up, build up the highway. Clear away the stones to raise up a banner for the nations.

11 Listen, Yahweh has proclaimed to the ends of the earth:

Tell Tsiyon’s (Zion) daughter to look because her rescue is about to happen.

Look, he’s brought his reward with him,

≈ and his wages go ahead of him.[ref]

12 The ones that Yahweh has paid to have freed

will be called ‘the sacred people’ by others.

Also, you’ll be called ‘the desirable city’—

the one which hasn’t been abandoned.

6 On walls _of_your Oh _Yərūshālaim/(Jerusalem) I _have _appointed watchmen all _of the_day and_all the_night continually not they _will _be _silent Oh_you(pl)_who_cause _to _remember DOM YHWH let_not rest belong_to_you(pl).

7 And_do _not give rest to_him/it until he _will _establish and_unto he _will _make DOM Yərūshālaim/(Jerusalem) praise on _the_earth.

8 YHWH he _swears _an _oath by_his _right _of_hand and_by_the _arm _of his _strength _of_his if I _will _give DOM grain _of_your again food to_enemies _of_your and_if sons _of foreignness they _will _drink wine _of_your _new which you _have _laboured in/on/over_him/it.

9 If/because those _of_who_gather _it they_will _eat _it and_they _will _praise DOM YHWH and_those _of_who_gather _it they_will _drink _it in_the _courts _of my _holiness _of_my.

10 Pass pass in_gates make _clear the _way _of the _people throw _up throw _up the_highway clear_it from_stone[s] raise a _standard over the_peoples.

11 THERE YHWH he _has _proclaimed to the _end _of the_earth/land say to_the _daughter _of Tsiyyōn/(Zion) THERE salvation _of_your is_about _to _come THERE reward _of_his with_him/it and_wage[s]_of_his is_before _of_him.

12 And_people _will _call to/for_them the _people _of (the)_holiness those_redeemed _of YHWH and_to_you sought _out a _city which_not it _has _been _abandoned it _will _be _called.
