This is still a very early look into the unfinished text of the Open English Translation of the Bible. Please double-check the text in advance before using in public.

Yeshua foretells Yerusalem’s destruction

Luke 21:20–24

Mark 13:14–19

Mat 24:15–21

21:20 Yeshua foretells Yerusalem’s destruction

(Mark 13:14-19, Mat. 24:15-21)

20However, when you all see Yerusalem being surrounded by armies, then you’ll know that the time of her abandonment is close. 21Then those who’re in Yudea should flee to the hills and those in the central area should get out, and foreigners should no longer go there 22[ref]because that will be a time of vengeance when what’s been written will come to pass. 23It’ll be so hard for pregnant and breast-feeding women at that time because there’ll be incredible distress in the country and severe anger on the Jewish people. 24They’ll be cut down with swords and taken to many other countries as slaves, then Yerusalem will be overrun by non-Jews until the times given to the non-Jews will be fulfilled.

13:14 Yeshua warns about coming horror and deceptions

(Mat. 24:15-28, Luke 21:20-24)

14[ref]But whenever you see the most horrible thing that drives people from God, standing where it shouldn’t be (and you readers should understand this), then anyone in Yudea should flee into the hills 15[ref]and anyone upstairs looking outside shouldn’t come down into the bedrooms to get anything, 16and anyone working outside shouldn’t go back inside to get a change of clothes. 17It will be extremely difficult for pregnant women and for mothers who are breast-feeding their children in those days. 18Just pray that it won’t happen in the winter 19[ref]because those days will be terrible like nothing that’s ever happened before, all the way back to when God created the world right until the present time, and won’t ever happen again.

24:15 Desecration and false teachers

(Mark 13:14-23, Luke 21:20-24)

15[ref]So whenever you all see the irreverent object that the prophet Daniel wrote about being placed in the holy place (anyone reading this should try to understand it), 16those in Yudea should flee to the hills, 17[ref]anyone outside on the flat roof shouldn’t go back inside to get things out of the house, 18and anyone in the field shouldn’t go back to the house to get their coat. 19It will be very difficult for pregnant women and breast-feeding mothers in those days, 20but pray that your escape won’t be in winter or on a rest day. 21[ref]This will be followed by incredible troubles like nothing that has been observed in this world from creation until the present time, and which won’t happen like that again—
