1 The elder, to_the_chosen mistress and the children of _her, whom I am _loving in truth (and not I only, but also all the ones having _known the truth), 2 because _of the truth which remaining in us, and will _be with us to the age:
3 grace, mercy, peace will _be with us from god the_father and from Yaʸsous/(Yəhōshūˊa) chosen _one /messiah, the son of _the father, in truth and love.
4 I _was_ exceedingly _elated that I _have _found some of the children of _you walking in truth, as the_command we _received from the father.
5 And now I _am _asking you, mistress, not as writing a_ new _command, to _you, but what we _were _having from the_beginning, that we _may _be _loving one _another.
6 And this is the love:
that we _may _be _walking according _to the commands of _him.
This is the command, as you _all _heard from the_beginning, that you _all _may _be _walking in same.
7 Because many deceivers came _out into the world, the ones not confessing Yaʸsous chosen _one /messiah coming in flesh.
This one is the deceiver and the anti-messiah.
8 Be _seeing yourselves that you _all _may_ not _lose what things you _did, but you _all _may _take _back a_ full _reward.
9 Everyone which going _beyond and not remaining in the teaching of _the chosen _one /messiah, is_ not _having god, the one remaining in the teaching, this one is _having both the father and the son.
10 If anyone is _coming to you _all, and is_ not _bringing this the teaching, not be _receiving him into ^your_house, and not be _saying to _be _rejoicing to _him, 11 for/because the one saying to _him to _be _rejoicing is _sharing in _the the evil works of _him.
12 Having many things to _be _writing to _you _all, I _was_ not _counseled through paper and ink, but I _am _hoping to _become to you _all, and to _speak mouth to mouth, in _order _that the joy of _you _all may _be having _been _fulfilled.
13 The children of _the the chosen sister of _you is _greeting you.
