30:11 The tax for making the tent

11 Then Yahweh told Mosheh (Moses): 12 Whenever you take a census of the Israeli men, each man must pay a ransom to Yahweh for his life when they’re counted, and then the counting won’t cause deadly diseases among them. 13 As each man crosses over to stand with those who’ve been counted, he must pay give a half-shekel coin as an offering to me.[ref] (That’s half of the official shekel weight of 12 grams.) 14 Every man who’s twenty or older must pay this contribution to me when he’s counted—15 the wealthy aren’t expected to pay more, and the poor must not pass less than this amount when they pay this ransom to me to make atonement for your lives. 16 Then you must take that money from the Israelis and use it for work on the sacred tent—it will be a reminder to me that you all have made atonement for your lives.

11 And_ YHWH _he/it _spoke to Mosheh to_saying.

12 If/because you _will _lift _up DOM the _head _of the _people _of Yisrā^ʼēl/(Israel)[fn] to_those _of_who _are_enrolled _of _them and_they _will _give everyone the _ransom _of his _life _of_his to/for_YHWH when_enrol DOM_them and_not it _will _be in/among_them a _plague when_enrol DOM_them.

13 This every _of (the)_one_who_passes _over to those_enrolled they _will _pay the _half _of the _shekel by_the _shekel _of the _holy _place is_twenty gerah[s] the_shekel (the)_half _of the _shekel is_a _contribution to/for_YHWH.

14 Every _of (the)_one_who_passes _over to those_enrolled from_a _son _of twenty year[s] and_upward_upwards he _will _pay the _contribution _of YHWH.

15 The _rich_person not he _will _make _much and_the _poor_person not he _will _make _little more_than _(the)_half _of the _shekel by_paying DOM the _contribution _of YHWH to_make _atonement on selves _of_your(pl).

16 And_you _will _take DOM the _money _of (the)_atonement(s) from_with the _people _of Yisrā^ʼēl/(Israel) and_you _will _give DOM_him/it on the _service _of the _tent _of meeting and_it _was for_the _people _of Yisrā^ʼēl/(Israel) (into)_a_memorial to_(the)_face _of/in _front _of/before YHWH to_make _atonement on selves _of_your(pl).
