It was square—2.5m on each side—and 1.5m tall. 2 From the same piece of wood, he made horn-like projections for each of the four corners, then he overlaid it all with bronze. 3 He made all the utensils for the altar: the pots and shovels, basins and meat-forks, and the firepans—all made from bronze. 4 He made a grating for the altar—a bronze lattice that fitted down in the middle of the altar, 5 and he cast the grating with rings on the four corners as holders for the carrying poles. 6 He made the acacia wood poles and overlaid them with bronze 7 and he put the poles into the rings on the sides of the altar so they could carry it with them. He made the altar hollow using boards.
