22 Yosef (Joseph) continued to live in Mitsrayim (Egypt), along with the rest of his father Ya’akov’s (Jacob) family, until he was 110 years old. 23 He lived long enough to see his son Efrayim’s (Ephraim) children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. The children of his grandson Makir, who was Menasheh’s (Manasseh) son, also grew up around him. 24 Then one day Yosef said to his brothers, “I’m about to die, but God will definitely help you all and take you and your descendants from this country to the land that he vowed to give to Avraham, Yitshak (Isaac), and Ya’akov. 25 When God does that, you must take my body back to Kena’an (Canaan) with you and bury it there.” Then Yosef had his brothers and the rest of the descendants of Yisrael (Israel) vow that they would do that.[ref] 26 Then Yosef died at the age of 110, and the specialists embalmed his body and it was put in a coffin in a tomb in Mitsrayim.
