6:1 Giving to the poor

6 [ref]“Take care not to only be obeying God in front of others so they’ll think well of you, because if you do, you’ll all certainly get no reward from your father in the heavens.

2 “So when you’re giving to the poor, don’t make a big display of it like the hypocrites do in the meeting halls and in the streets so they’ll get the people’s praises. I can assure you that they’ve already received their reward in full. 3 But when you give to the poor, don’t let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, 4 so that your giving will be private, yet your father who sees everything you do will give back to you.

6 Be _taking _heed not to _be _practicing the righteousness of _you _all before the people, in _order that to _be _seen by _them, and if not, surely you _all _are _having no reward with the father of _you _all, who is in the heavens.
2 Therefore whenever you _may _be _doing alms, you _may_ not _trumpet before you, as the hypocrites are _doing in the synagogues and in the streets, so _that they _may _be _glorified by the people.
Truly, I _am _saying to _you _all, they _are _receiving _fully the reward of _them.
3 But of _you doing alms, not let _know the left hand of _you what the right hand of _you is _doing, 4 so _that the alms of _you may _be in the secret, and the father of _you, the one seeing in the secret, will _be _giving _back to _you.
