3:1 King David’s children

3These were David’s sons who were born to him in Hevron: the firstborn was Amnon by Ahinoam the Yezreelite, the second Daniyel by Avigayil the Karmelite, 2the third Avishalom (Absalom), the son of Maakah (daughter of King Talmai of Geshur), the fourth Adoniyyah, the son of Haggit, 3the fifth Shefatyah by Avital, the sixth Yitream by his wife Eglah.

4Six were born to David in Hevron where he reigned for seven and a half years.[ref]

Then he reigned in Yerushalem for thirty-three years 5and these were born to him there: Beyt-Shua (also known as Bathsheba, daughter of Ammiel) gave birth to four sons: Shimea, Shovav, Natan, and Shelomoh (Solomon).[ref] 6Other sons were Yivhar, Elishama, Elifelet, 7Nogah, Nefeg, Yafia, 8Elishama, Elyada, and Elifelet. (Nine in all.) 9David also had sons from his slave wives. Their sister was Tamar.


3and_these they_were the_sons_of Dāvid[fn] whom it_was_born to_him/it in/on/at/with_Ḩeⱱrōn the_firstborn was_ʼAmnōn by_ʼAḩīnoˊam the_Yizrəˊʼēlī/(Jezreelite) second was_Dāniyyʼēl by_ʼAⱱīgayil the_Karmə.
2The_third of_ʼAⱱīshālōm the_son_of Maˊₐkāh the_daughter_of Talimay the_king_of Gəshūr the_fourth was_ʼAdoniyyāh the_son_of Ḩaggit.
3The_fifth was_Shəfaţyāh by_ʼAⱱīţal the_sixth was_Yitrəˊām/(Ithream) by_ˊEglāh his/its_wife/woman.
4Six_sons it_was_born to_him/it in/on/at/with_Ḩeⱱrōn and_reigned there seven years and_six months and_thirty and_three year[s] he_reigned in/on/at/with_Yərūshālam/(Jerusalem).
5and_these they_were_born to_him/it in/on/at/with_Yərūshālam/(Jerusalem) Shimˊāʼ and_Shōⱱāⱱ and_Nātān and_Shəlomoh/(Solomon) four by_Bath- shūˊa the_daughter_of ˊAmmiyʼēl.
6And_Yāⱱəḩar/(Ibhar) and_ʼElīshāˊma and_ʼElīfeleţ.
7And_Nogah and_Nefeg and_Yāfīˊa/(Japhia).
8And_ʼElīshāˊma and_ʼElyādāˊ and_ʼElīfeleţ nine.
9All_of the_sons_of Dāvid from_to/for_besides_of sons_of concubines and_Tāmār sister_of_their.
