32 And the three of these men ceased from answering Job, because he was righteous in his eyes. 2 Then the nose burned of Elihu son of Barakel the Buzite, from the clan of Ram. His nose burned against Job upon him declaring himself righteous rather than God. 3 And against the three of his friends his nose burned upon that they had not found an answer but they had declared Job wrong. 4 Now Elihu had awaited Job with words, because they were older in days than he was. 5 But Elihu saw that there was no answer in the mouths of the three of the men, and his nose burned.
6 And Elihu son of Barakel the Buzite answered and said,
“I am young in days and you are aged.
Upon that I was timid and I was afraid of telling you my knowledge.
7 I said, ‘Let days speak,
and let a multitude of years teach wisdom.’
8 Nevertheless, a spirit, it is in man,
and the breath of Shaddai gives them understanding.
9 The great are not wise,
and the aged do not understand justice.
10 Therefore I say, ‘Listen to me;
I also will declare my knowledge.’
11 Behold, I waited for your words;
I listened to your reasonings
while you searched for words.
12 Indeed, I paid attention to you,
but behold, there was no one proving Job wrong,
not one of you answering his words,
13 lest you say, ‘We have found wisdom!’
Let God refute him, not man.
14 Now he has not arrayed words against me,
and I will not answer him with your words.
15 They are dismayed; they do not answer any longer;
words have gone from them.
16 Shall I wait because they are not speaking,
because they stand, they answer no more?
17 I also will answer on my part;
I also will declare my knowledge.
18 For I am full of words;
the spirit in my belly compels me.
19 Behold, my belly is like wine that has no vent;
like new wineskins, it is bursting open.
20 I will speak and refresh myself;
I will open my lips and answer.
21 Now let me not lift the face of a man,
and let me not give a title to a man.
22 For I do not know giving titles;
my Maker would soon take me away.
