27 And Job continued to take up his discourse, and he said,
2 “As God lives, who has taken away my justice,
Shaddai, who has made my life bitter,
3 that, any of my life still being in me,
and breath from God being in my nose,
4 if my lips speak wickedness,
or my tongue, if it utters deceit!
5 Sacrilege to me if I justify you!
Until I expire, I will not turn my integrity away from me.
6 I grasp my righteousness and I will not let it go;
my heart will not reproach me from my days.
7 May my enemy be like the wicked,
and the one rising up against me like the unrighteous!
8 For what is the hope of the godless when he cuts him off,
when God takes away his life?
9 Will God hear his cry
when trouble comes upon him?
10 If he will delight himself in Shaddai?
Will he call to God in every time?
11 I will teach you about the hand of God;
what is with Shaddai I will not conceal.
12 Behold, you have seen this yourselves, all of you;
why then do you vainly speak this vanity?
13 This is the portion of a wicked man with God,
and the heritage of oppressors, they receive it from Shaddai:
14 If his children multiply, it is for the sword,
and his offspring will not have enough bread.
15 His survivor will be buried in death,
and his widows will not lament.
16 If he heaps up silver like the dust
and he piles up clothing like clay mounds,
17 he piles up, but the righteous clothes himself
and the innocent receives silver.
18 He builds his house as a moth does,
and like a hut that a guard makes.
19 He lies down rich, but he does not continue;
he opens his eyes and there is not to him.
20 Terrors overwhelm him like waters;
a storm carries him away in the night.
21 The east wind takes him away, and he leaves;
indeed, it blasts him from his place.
22 And it hurls itself upon him and does not pity;
fleeing, he flees from its hand.
23 It claps its hands at him
and hisses at him from his place.
