Mosheh’s death

This is still a very early look into the unfinished text of the Open English Translation of the Bible. Please double-check the text in advance before using in public.

Readers’ Version

Literal Version

34:5 Mosheh’s death

5So Yahweh’s servant Mosheh (Moses) died there in Moav just as Yahweh had said would happen 6and he buried him there in the valley opposite Beyt-Peor, but to this day, no one knows where his grave is. 7Mosheh was one hundred and twenty when he died, but he still had excellent eyesight and strength in his body. 8The Israelis mourned thirty days for him there in the Moav plain.

9Meanwhile, Nun’s son Yehoshua (Joshua) was full of the spirit of wisdom, because Mosheh had placed his hands on him and prayed over him, so the Israelis listened to him and did what Yahweh had commanded Mosheh.

10No prophet like Mosheh who Yahweh knew face to face, has ever emerged in Yisrael since then,[ref] 11or performed all the miracles and amazing things that Yahweh sent him to do in Egypt, to Far-oh (Pharaoh), and to all his servants, and to all his land. 12No other prophet has been able to do all the incredible but terrifying things that Mosheh did while all Yisrael watched.
