There were twenty-four thousand men in each group, and each group served one month each year.

UST King David had separate divisions of 24,000 Israelite soldiers come on duty for a month at a time throughout the year. They performed the duties that he required. One officer had authority over each entire division, and other officers commanded groups of one thousand or one hundred soldiers or had other responsibilities.
