4:23 The believers ask God for power

23After Peter and Yohan had been released, they went to their own group and told them what the chief priests and elders had said. 24[ref]When they all heard this, they began to pray out loud to God, saying, “Master, you created heaven and earth and the sea, and everything in them. 25[ref]You spoke long ago by the holy spirit through our ancestor who was your servant, David, when you said,

‘Why are the other nations angry and why have their peoples tried new ideas?”

26The earthly kings and rulers stood and worked together against the master and against his messiah.’

27[ref]And indeed Herod and Pontius Pilate met with the pagan Romans and the peoples of Israel to conspire against your holy servant Yeshua who you chose. 28Then they did exactly what your power and plan had already decided would happen. 29So now, master, see their threats and help us, your slaves, to be able to proclaim your message with boldness. 30Let us experience your power to heal and do miracles and things that confirm the scriptures by means of the name and authority of your holy servant, Yeshua.”

31As they finished their requests, the place where they had met was shaken and all of them were filled with the holy spirit, and they went out and boldly proclaimed God’s message.

23And having_been_sent_away, they_came to their own, and they_reported as_much_as the chief_priests and the elders said to them.
24And which having_heard, with_one_accord lifted_up ^their_voice to the god and said:
Master, you which having_made the heaven, and the earth, and the sea, and all the things in them,
25the one of_the father of_us, by the_ holy _spirit of_the_mouth Dawid/(Dāvid) servant of_you having_said:
For/Because_ why _reason the_pagans raged, and peoples pondered vain things?
26Standing_before the kings of_the earth and the rulers were_gathered_together with the themselves against the master, and against the chosen_one/messiah of_him.
27For/Because both Haʸrōdaʸs and Pontios Pilatos were_gathered_together in truth in the this city with the_pagans and peoples of_Israaʸl/(Yisrāʼēl) against the holy servant of_you Yaʸsous/(Yəhōshūˊa), whom you_anointed, 28to_do as_much_as the hand of_you, and the counsel of_you predetermined to_become.
29And the things now, master, look_upon on the threats of_them, and give to_the slaves of_you, all to_be_speaking the of_you message with boldness, 30in that the hand to_be_stretching_out to_you for healing, and signs, and wonders, to_be_becoming through the name of_the holy servant of_you, Yaʸsous.
31And having_been_besought of_them, the place in which they_were having_been_gathered_together was_shaken, and all were_filled the holy spirit, and they_were_speaking the message of_ the _god with boldness.
