12:28 Yeshua answers about genuine obedience to God

(Mat. 22:34-40, Luke 10:25-28)

28Then one of the religious teachers who had heard their question and Yeshua’s excellent answer, came closer and asked, “Which of the commandments is the most important?”

29[ref]Yeshua answered, “Well, the most important is this: ‘Listen, Israel. There’s only one God who is our master. 30You must love God your master with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’ 31[ref]And the second is: ‘Love your neighbour like you look after yourself.’ There’s no other commandments more important than these.

32[ref]The teacher replied to Yeshua, “Yes, teacher, you’re quite right saying there’s only one God and no other, 33[ref]and saying that we should love him with all our heart and all our intelligence and all our strength, and to be loving our neighbours like we look after ourselves, and all this is more important than all the required temple offerings and sacrifices.”

34[ref]When Yeshua saw that he had given such a thoughtful answer, he said, “You are very close to the kingdom of God!

After that, no one else dared to ask Yeshua any more questions.

28And one of_the scribes having_approached, having_heard of_them debating, having_seen that he_answered well to_them, asked him:
Which command is the_first of_all?
29the Yaʸsous/(Yəhōshūˊa) answered, that The_first is:
Israaʸl/(Yisrāʼēl) be_hearing, the_master the god of_us is one master,
30and you_will_be_loving the_master the god of_you, with all the heart of_you, and with all the soul of_you, and with all the mind of_you, and with all the strength of_you.
31The_second is this:
You_will_be_loving the neighbor of_you as yourself.
Another command is not greater than these.
32And the scribe said to_him:
Rightly, Teacher, in truth having_said, that He_is one, and there_is not another except him,
33and, the To_be_loving him with all the heart, and with all the intelligence, and with all the strength, and, which To_be_loving his neighbor as himself, is more_important all the whole_burnt_offerings and sacrifices.
34And the Yaʸsous having_seen him, that he_answered intelligently, said to_him:
You_are not far from the kingdom of_ the _god.
And no_one no_longer was_daring to_ask him.
