10 And I looked, and look! To the vault that, was over the head of the cherubim, like a stone of sapphire, something like the appearance of the likeness of a throne appeared over them. 2 And he said to the man clothed in linen, and he said, “Go to between the wheelwork, to under the cherub, and fill your handfuls, with coals of fire from between the cherubim, and sow them over the city.” And he went to my eyes.
3 (And the cherubim were standing from the right of the house when the man went. And the cloud filled the inner courtyard.) 4 Then the glory of Yahweh arose from over the cherub to the threshold of the house. And the house was filled, with the cloud, and the courtyard was filled, with the brightness of the glory of Yahweh. 5 And the sound of the wings of the cherubim was heard as far as the outer courtyard, like the sound of the Almighty when he speaks.
6 And it was, when he commanded the man clothed in linen, saying, “Take fire from between the wheelwork, from between the cherubim,” that he went, and he stood beside the wheel. 7 Then the cherub sent his hand from between the cherubim to the fire that, was between the cherubim, and he lifted it, and he gave it to the two handfuls of, the one clothed in linen. Then he took it, and he went out. 8 (And of the cherubim was seen the form of a hand of a man under their wings.)
9 So I looked, and look! Four wheels beside the cherubim, one wheel beside the one cherub, and one wheel beside the one cherub. And the appearance of the wheels, was like the eye of a stone of topaz. 10 And their appearance was one likeness for the four of them, as when the wheel is in the midst of the wheel. 11 When they went, toward four of their sides they went; they did not turn when they went. For the place where the head faced, after it they went; they did not turn when they went. 12 And all their flesh and their backs and their hands and their wings and the wheels, were full of eyes all around for the four of them, their wheels. 13 Of the wheels—of them was called, “The wheelwork” in my ears. 14 And four of the faces, belonged to each: The face of the first, was the face of the cherub, and the face of the second, was the face of a man, and the third, was the face of a lion, and the fourth, was the face of an eagle.
15 Then the cherubim arose. It, was the beings that I saw by the river of Kebar. 16 And when the cherubim went, the wheels went beside them. And when the cherubim lifted their wings to rise from over the earth—they did not turn—the wheels, also they, were from beside them. 17 When they stood, they would stand; and when they arose, they would arise, with them, for the spirit of the beings, was in them.
18 Then the glory of Yahweh went out from over the threshold of the house, and it stood over the cherubim. 19 Then the cherubim lifted up their wings, and they arose from the earth to my eyes (when they went out, and the wheels, were beside them). And it stood, at the entrance of the gate of the house of Yahweh, the easternly one, and the glory of the God of Israel, was over them from above.
20 (It, was the being that I saw under the God of Israel by the river of Kebar, and I knew that they were cherubim. 21 Four, four faces, belonged to one, and four wings, belonged to one, and the likeness of the hands of a man, was under their wings. 22 And the likeness of their faces—they were the faces that I saw along the river of Kebar, their appearances and themselves. Each went toward his faces.
