OET (OET-RV) and God caused all the evil done by Shekem’s men to return back onto their own heads, and the curse of Gideon’s youngest son Yotam, came true on them.

UST God also punished the people of Shechem for all the wicked things that they had done. Jotham son of Gideon had said that Abimelech would destroy them, and that is what happened.
