34 and _ ʼAⱱīmelek _ he/it _ rose_ upand _ all the _ troops which with _ him/it night and _ lay _ in_ waiton Shə kem four companies .
35 And _ Gaˊal _ he/it _ went_ outthe _ son_ ofˊEⱱed and _ stood the _ entrance_ ofthe _ gate_ ofthe _ city and _ ʼAⱱīmelek _ he/it _ rose_ upand _ the _ troops which with _ him/it from the _ ambush .
36 And _ he/it _ sawGaˊal DOM the _ people and _ he/it _ saidto Zə ⱱul there a _ people[is] _ coming_ downfrom _ tops _ ofthe _ mountains and _ he/it _ saidto _ him/it Zə ⱱul DOM the _ shadow_ ofthe _ mountains you [are] _ seeinglike _ THE_ men .
37 and _ he _ repeatedagain Gaˊal to _ spoke and _ he/it _ saidthere a _ people[are] _ coming_ downfrom _ in the _ center_ ofthe _ earth/land and _ company one [is] _ comingfrom _ direction _ of[the] _ great_ tree_ of[the] _ soothsayer38 And _ he/it _ saidto _ him/it Zə ⱱul where then boast _ of_ your Oh _ [you]_ whoyou _ saidwho [is] _ ʼAⱱīmelek(cmp) serve _ him not [is] _ thisthe _ troops which you _ rejectedin/on/over _ him/it go _ outplease now and _ fight in/on/over _ him/it .
39 and _ Gaˊal _ he/it _ went_ outto _ (the) _ face_ of/in_ front_ of/beforethe _ citizens_ ofShə kem and _ fought in/on/at/with _ ʼAⱱīmelek .
40 And _ chased _ him ʼAⱱīmelek and _ fled from _ before _ of_ him and _ they _ fell[those] _ fatally_ woundedmany to the _ entrance_ ofthe _ gate .
41 And _ ʼAⱱīmelek _ he/it _ sat_ down//remained//livedin/on/at/with _ ʼArūmāh and _ Zə ⱱul _ he/it _ drove_ outDOM Gaˊal and _ DOM relatives _ of_ his from _ live _ onin/on/at/with _ Shə kem .
42 And _ he/it _ wason _ next _ dayand _ he/it _ went_ outthe _ people the _ field and _ reported to _ ʼAⱱīmelek .
43 And _ he/it _ tookDOM the _ troops and _ divided _ them into _ three companies and _ lay _ in_ waitin _ the_ field and _ he/it _ sawand _ see/lo/see the _ people [was] _ going_ outfrom the _ city and _ he/it _ rose_ upagainst _ them and _ killed _ them .
44 And _ ʼAⱱīmelek and _ the _ company which with _ him/it they _ made_ a_ raidand _ stood the _ entrance_ ofthe _ gate_ ofthe _ city and _ two _ ofthe _ companies they _ made_ a_ raidon all _ of[those] _ whoin _ the_ field and _ killed _ them .
45 And _ ʼAⱱīmelek [was] _ fightingin/on/at/with _ city all _ ofthe _ day (the) _ that and _ captured DOM the _ city and _ DOM the _ people which in/on/at/with _ it he _ killedand _ razed DOM the _ city and _ sowed _ it salt .
46 and _ all _ of_ they _ heardthe _ citizens_ ofthe _ tower_ ofShə kem and _ they _ cameinto the _ underground_ chamber_ ofthe _ house_ ofEl- Berith .
47 And _ told to _ ʼAⱱīmelek if/because _ thatthey _ had_ gathered_ togetherall _ ofthe _ citizens_ ofthe _ tower_ ofShə kem .

49 And _ cut _ downalso all _ ofthe _ troops everyone branch _ of_ his and _ they _ followedafter ʼAⱱīmelek and _ put over the _ stronghold and _ they _ set_ fireover _ them DOM the _ stronghold in/on/at/with _ fire and _ died also all _ ofthe _ men_ ofthe _ tower_ ofShə kem about _ a _ thousandman and _ women .
50 and _ ʼAⱱīmelek _ he/it _ wentto Tēⱱēʦ and _ encamped in/on/at/with _ Tēⱱēʦ and _ captured _ it .
51 And _ tower _ ofstrength it _ wasin/on/at/with _ middle _ ofthe _ city and _ fled there _ to all _ ofthe _ men and _ the _ women and _ all/each/any/every the _ citizens_ ofthe _ city and _ shut _ inafter _ themselves and _ went _ upon the _ roofthe _ tower .
52 And _ ʼAⱱīmelek _ came to the _ tower and _ fought in/on/over _ him/it and _ approached to the _ entrance_ ofthe _ tower to _ burn _ it in/on/at/with _ fire .
53 And _ a _ woman_ threw one a _ mill-stone_ ofan _ upper_ mill-stoneon the _ head_ ofʼAⱱīmelek and _ crushed DOM skull _ of_ his .
54 And _ he/it _ calledquickly to the _ young _ manthe _ bearer_ ofarmor _ of_ his and _ he/it _ saidto _ him/it draw sword _ of_ your and _ kill _ me lest people _ should_ sayto _ me a _ womankilled _ him and _ ran _ through_ him young _ man_ of_ his and _ he/it _ died55 And _ the _ man_ of_ they _ sawof _ Yisrāʼēl /(Israel)if/because _ thatʼAⱱīmelek he _ was_ deadand _ went everyone to _ home _ of_ his .
56 And _ god _ repaid DOM the _ evil_ ofʼAⱱīmelek which he _ had_ doneto _ father _ of_ his in _ killing DOM seventy brothers _ of_ his .
57 And _ DOM all _ ofthe _ evil_ ofthe _ men_ ofShə kem god he _ repaidin/on/at/with _ heads _ of_ their and _ came on _ them the _ curse_ ofYōtām/(Jotham) the _ son_ ofJerub-Baˊal .
