Paul, an apostle not from men nor through man, but through Jesus Christ[fn] and God the Father who raised him from the dead, 2 and all the brothers with me, to the churches of Galatia:
Grace to you and peace from God our Father and {the}[fn] Lord Jesus Christ, 4 who gave himself for our sins, so that he might deliver us from the present evil age, according to the will of our God and Father, 5 to whom is the glory forever and ever,[fn] amen.
I am astonished that you are so quickly turning away from the one who called you in the grace [of Christ] to a different gospel, 7 which is not another; except there are some who are troubling you and wanting to distort the gospel of Christ.
But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach [to you][fn] a gospel contrary to the one we preached to you, let them be under a curse. 9 As we have said before, so now I say again: if anyone is preaching to you a gospel contrary to the one you received, let them be under a curse.
For am I now seeking the approval of men, or of God? Or am I trying to please men? [[For]][fn] if I were still trying to please men, I would not be a servant of Christ.
For I make known to you, brothers, the gospel that was preached by me, that it is not according to man; 12 for I did not receive it from any man, nor was I taught it, but it came through a revelation of Jesus Christ.
For you have heard of my former life in Judaism, how I persecuted the church of God beyond measure and tried to destroy it; 14 And I was advancing in Judaism beyond many of my contemporaries in my nation, being more exceedingly zealous for the traditions of my fathers.
But when it pleased [God,][fn] the one who set me apart from my mother's womb and called me through his grace, 16 to reveal His Son in me so that I might preach Him among the Gentiles, I did not immediately consult with flesh and blood, 17 Nor did I go up to Jerusalem to those who were apostles before me, but I went away to Arabia and again returned to Damascus.
Then after three years I went up to Jerusalem to visit {Cephas}[fn] and stayed with him fifteen days. 19 But I saw none of the other apostles except James, the Lord's brother. 20 What I am writing to you, behold, before God, I am not lying.
Then I went into the regions of Syria and Cilicia. 22 And I was still unknown by face to the churches of Judea that are in Christ. 23 But they were only hearing that “The one who once persecuted us is now preaching the faith he once tried to destroy.” 24 And they glorified God because of me.
