ULT NUM Chapter 24

NUM 24 ©

24And Balaam saw that it was good in the eyes of Yahweh to bless Israel, and he did not go as time by time to meet omens, and he set his face to the wilderness. 2And Balaam lifted up his eyes and saw Israel dwelling according to its tribes, and the Spirit of God was upon him. 3And he lifted up his oracle and said,

“The declaration of Balaam, the son of him, Beor,

and the declaration of the man, opened of the eye,

4the declaration of the one hearing the words of God,

who sees the vision of the Almighty,

falling down and uncovered of eyes:

5How good are your tents, Jacob,

your dwellings, Israel!

6Like wadis they are stretched out,

like gardens upon a river,

like aloes Yahweh has planted,

like cedars upon water.

7Water will flow from his buckets,

and his seed will be in many waters.

And his king will be higher than Agag,

and his kingdom will be lifted up.

8God is bringing him out from Egypt;

as the horns of a wild ox for him.

He will devour nations, his adversaries,

and their bones he will crush,

and with his arrows he will shatter.

9He bowed down, he lay down like a lion,

and like a lioness, who will raise him up?

Ones blessing you are blessed,

and ones cursing you are cursed.”

10And the nose of Balak burned toward Balaam, and he clapped his palms. And Balak said to Balaam, “To curse my enemies I called you, and behold, blessing, you have blessed these three times. 11And now, flee for yourself to your place. I said, ‘Honoring, I will honor you,’ and behold, Yahweh has withheld you from honor.” 12And Balaam said to Balak, “Did I not also speak to your messengers whom you sent to me, saying, 13‘If Balak gives to me the fullness of his house, silver and gold, I will not be able to pass over the mouth of Yahweh, to do good or evil from my own heart. What Yahweh speaks, it I will speak’? 14And now, behold me, going to my people. Come, I will counsel you what this people will do to your people in the end of the days.”

15And he lifted up his oracle and said,

“The declaration of Balaam, the son of him, Beor,

and the declaration of the man, opened of the eye,

16the declaration of the one hearing the words of God,

and the one knowing the knowledge of the Most High;

he sees the vision of the Almighty,

falling down and uncovered of eyes:

17I see him, but not now;

I look at him, but not near.

A star has trodden from Jacob,

and a scepter has risen from Israel.

And it has shattered the edges of Moab

and destroyed all the sons of Seth.

18And Edom will be a possession,

and Seir, his enemies, will be a possession,

but Israel is doing strength.

19And he will rule from Jacob,

and he will destroy a survivor from a city.”

20And he saw Amalek, and he lifted up his oracle and said,

“First of nations is Amalek,

and its end is unto destruction.”

21And he saw the Kenite, and he lifted up his oracle and said,

“Permanent is your dwelling,

and set in the rock is your nest.

22Nevertheless, Kain will be to burn

until when Asshur takes you captive.”

23And he lifted up his oracle and said,

“Woe! Who will live from God setting it?

24And ships from the hand of Kittim,

and they will afflict Asshur, and they will afflict Eber,

and he also is unto destruction.”

25And Balaam rose and went and returned to his place, and Balak also went to his way.
