10And Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying, 2“Make for you two trumpets of silver. You shall make them hammered work, and they shall be for you for the assembly of the congregation and for the departure of the camps, 3and they shall blow them, and all the congregation shall congregate to you to the opening of the tent of meeting. 4And if they blow one, then the leaders, the heads of the thousands of Israel, shall congregate to you. 5And you shall blow an alarm, and the camps camping to the east shall set out, 6and you shall blow a second alarm, and the camps camping to the south shall set out. They shall blow an alarm for their setting out. 7And when assembling the assembly, you shall blow but you shall not blow an alarm. 8And the sons of Aaron, the priests, shall blow the trumpets, and they shall be for you for a statute of eternity, for your generations. 9And when you go to a battle in your land against the opponent who opposes you, then you shall blow an alarm on the trumpets, and you shall be remembered to the face of Yahweh your God, and you shall be saved from your enemies. 10And on the day of your joy and at your appointed times and at the heads of your months, then you shall blow the trumpets upon your burnt offerings and upon the sacrifices of your peace offerings, and they will be for you for a memorial to the face of your God. I am Yahweh your God.” 11And it happened in the second year, in the second month, on 20 in the month, the cloud was taken up from upon the Dwelling of the Testimony. 12And the sons of Israel set out according to their departures from the wilderness of Sinai, and the cloud dwelled in the wilderness of Paran. 13And they set out in the first upon the mouth of Yahweh in the hand of Moses. 14And the banner of the camp of the sons of Judah set out in the first according to their armies: and over his army was Nahshon, the son of Amminadab, 15and over the army of the tribe of the sons of Issachar was Nethanel, the son of Zuar, 16and over the army of the tribe of the sons of Zebulun was Eliab, the son of Helon. 17And the Dwelling was taken down, and the sons of Gershon and the sons of Merari, the ones carrying the Dwelling, set out. 18And the banner of the camp of Reuben set out according to their armies: and over his army was Elizur, the son of Shedeur, 19and over the army of the tribe of the sons of Simeon was Shelumiel, the son of Zurishaddai, 20and over the army of the tribe of the sons of Gad was Eliasaph, the son of Deuel. 21And the Kohathites, the ones carrying the holy place, set out, and they raised up the Dwelling until their coming. 22And the banner of the camp of the sons of Ephraim set out according to their armies: and over his army was Elishama, the son of Ammihud, 23and over the army of the tribe of the sons of Manasseh was Gamaliel, the son of Pedahzur, 24and over the army of the tribe of the sons of Benjamin was Abidan, the son of Gideoni. 25And the banner of the camp of the sons of Dan, the one gathering for all the camps, set out according to their armies: and over his army was Ahiezer, the son of Ammishaddai. 26And over the army of the tribe of the sons of Asher was Pagiel, the son of Okran, 27and over the army of the tribe of the sons of Naphtali was Ahira, the son of Enan. 28These were the departures of the sons of Israel according to their armies. And they set out. 29And Moses said to Hobab, the son of Reuel, the Midianite, the father-in-law of Moses, “We are setting out to the place that Yahweh said, ‘I shall give it to you.’ Go with us, and we will do good to you. For Yahweh has spoken good upon Israel.” 30And he said to him, “I will not go, except I will go to my land and to my relatives.” 31And he said, “Please do not leave us! For upon this, you know our camping in the wilderness, and you will be for us for eyes. 32And it shall be that when you go with us, then it will happen that that good that Yahweh shall do good with us, also we shall do good to you.” 33And they set out from the mountain of Yahweh a way of three days, and the box of the covenant of Yahweh was setting out to their face a way of three days, to seek out for them rest, 34and the cloud of Yahweh was over them by day when they set out from the camp. 35And it happened, when the box set out, that Moses said, “Rise up, Yahweh, and your enemies will scatter, and the ones hating you will flee from your face.” 36And when it rested, he says, “Return, Yahweh, the ten thousands of the thousands of Israel.”
